Well for some reason I can only get to introductions so I guess it's where I'll starts.
My son loves fishing, I grew up on the back of a semi-pro bass boat (fishing isn't my fav). It's pretty hard to do any kind of fishing off my 20' mini day cruiser and we have lots of smaller lakes in the Sierras above Fresno.
So I've been eyeing yaks for quiet some time but just haven't found the right used one. Used market for everything in this world seems to have gone topsy turvy. I mean, I'm not gonna give you 80% of the cost of a new boat. I don't care if you bout it 5 yrs ago and it hasn't left your garage, it's still used.
Anyways, I'm 6' 230 and my wife's 5'10 170, plus the boy at another 60#s. I'd really like something that I could toss us all in for just a leisurely paddle when we're camping. Or just one of us adults and the boy for some fishing. Plus I might use it for some duck hunting or maybe some shore line dear hunting.
I joined the site to do some research because I found a 12' Nucanoe classic for a great price.

Tough to find a yak to carry that much load. Might look at a Jackson Kilroy DT. Not going to find a used one, just came out last year.
