Non-yak Humboldts...

Went out of Bodega yesterday on the New Sea Angler. It was rough and the squid were hard to find, but I managed 6 and my brother caught 2...the rest of the boat probably caught 20 or so, so we did well considering. A lot of people were puking. Anyway, the freezer is stocked with steaks and crab bait now.
My only complaint is that Rick Powers needs to maintain his gear or else include it free, because it SUCKS! Sticky drags, frayed line, and tangled spools are the norm, so bring your own heavy stuff if you have it.
It wasn't a picture-taking kind of day, but here is one from last year...
