I’ve only fished Albion a few times. I’d like to give it a try if conditions cooperate sometime before the season ends. I don’t know if the 20 fathom line is so limiting that it will create a problem or are there still decent spots open to fishing from a kayak. Does anyone have advice or recommendations on fishing that area with the new restrictions in place? Thanks

I used to fish Albion during our annual holiday event there but not familiar with the 20 or 50 fathom lines.  I am sure someone here in the know will chime in.

According to the line I imported into my fishing app it’s less than a 1/2 mile from exiting Albion cove to the 20 fathom boundary. I guess I’m looking for spots to try basically within a 1/2 mile from shore.

Years of Albion events were held with the 20 fathoms restrictions. Use your sonar, read/learn the charts for depth and structure.

It's a beautiful place. Definitely worth the experience. Paddling upriver for a scenic experience is worth it as well. I don't think you will be disappointed.  :smt001

The 20 fathom line is pretty generous so it's important to have the line downloaded into your FF, or phone App. The depth at the 20 fathom line straight out from the red can is about 160' deep. Don't worry about the depth you are fishing at, just make sure you are within the line.

If your FF has an SD card slot, you can download and install it from this site: [url]https://paul95255.wixsite.com/non-motorized-vessel/20fa-gpx-download/[url]

I’ve fished and kayaked a couple times before but I don’t really know much about the area. I do plan on importing the boundary line into my fish finder just to make it easier to keep track of.
