They're still predicting mostly sunny with relatively light winds in the AM.I don't think that system is supposed to hit us until tuesday eve.If the winds are too bad in the AM we can always pokepole, which I plan on doing after the paddle anyway.

Saturdays forcast sounds perfect for Perching I think I'll just do that instead! Just kidding!!!

I like the forcast. We could get out of the Jaws and start drifting from shallow water to deeper waters and when the wind changes we could just drift towards the jaws home to the pole poking spots.

I plan on trying for some Monkey face right after. I'm ready! see you in the AM. 06:30...

Alex, Sounds like a plan.I'll try to get there around 6:30 and start setting up.

I built a 10'+ pole also, but I think I'm just going to bring my 6' pokepole so I can store it in the truck.I just picked up 2lbs of squid, so I should have plenty.

I ran into Marmite at Fishermans Warehouse this after noon so he will be joining us in the morning.

I got three pounds of squid, so i think we have plenty for everyone.

This should be fun!

I caught a bad cold on my business trip to Las Vegas.  I think I will sit this one out and heal up.    You guys have fun be safe and post a report for my vicarious enjoyment.  Thanks.   

Reports I got this wek include spanish macks up to 13" from near the soquel hole.

Make sense if they were hanging near the Moss canyon as well.

good luck to you guys, be careful at the jaws, it can be very tough padling in or out there.

No dabs for me this weekend, chores, etc, and prep for fred Hall. Might get out for some perch-grubbing on Saturday.  will post if I do so.

Are you guys pokepoling the jetty at moss?  maybe I'll join in for that action!
