Kauai

Aloha everyone! Just got back from a month on Kauai. Spent new years with the family and got some diving in as well. Conditions were epic and my fiance also shot her first fish! Super stoked! Here's a little video I put together. Listen carefully in the beggening, you can hear humback whales dropping a beat in the background. Enjoy!

Thanks for the report, picture, and video from Hawaii Kris.  I was kayak fishing in Oahu 2 weeks ago but had no luck.  Next time I'll try spear fishing.

I did not realize when I first watched it that the sound was whales. That's pretty cool.

Thanks man. It was a Kagami or African Pompano. Super tasty makes great sashimi. No worries I'm stoked your going to Kauai! We will chat soon and figure out the details of your trip.

I've caught and eaten Gafftopsail Pompano in Baja that were excellent table fare.

How did that African Pompano taste?
