Motherlode Kayakers

Just wondering if there is anybody that fishes the Motherlode lakes in there yaks?  I live in Modesto, just purchased a yak.  Also looking for a couple of CPR tournaments to fish if anybody knows of any.  Thanks

I'm in Galt and fish all over the valley and foothills. Hit me up when the weather clears up. We'll go hit Don Pedro or New Melone's. Maybe Woodward?
There are a bunch of events coming up in a few months. Check the yakabass post Gecko just put up. There is a list of their bass events. All are in the Tracy/Stockton area, so less than an hour drive from you.

Welcome and definitely watch the hookups. There is quite a few of us that fish the foothills.

I am also from Modesto areas and recently purchased a kayak.  We should meet up sometime and check out the local areas.  I dont get out enough to make it to the coast and would like going local.

It's good to hear there are some other locals.  I have been fishing club stuff from my bass boat for years.....just wanted to try something different, in addition to it I guess.  Thanks for the information, I will definitely be reaching out once the weather gets better.

Lugnut, I am in Los Banos and I have fished LDP also. Went in on the Moccasin side because of the wind. OOsickness landed three 5# LGB and I landed one tiny SMB.
