Thanks for the report, pictures, and video Jim.

Thanks guys!

Yeah sometimes (like with this vid) I slow the footage down a bit to make it fit the song I wanna use (length/speed etc), or to give the viewer more time to see the action or whatever.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, sometimes I just slow down the kill shot etc...

For example in the vid below I wanted to fit a lot of footage in with a fast paced song...so didn't slow footage down at all:

In terms of bottom time...I do not have the world's best bottom times...I have been getting better as time goes by, and the recent FII Level 1 class I took really helped give me the ability to stay down longer but I still usually don't stay down for more than one minute for a few reasons:

1. If I'm diving solo I don't want to push my limits...I think my chances of having an issue increase if I'm alone and pushing my limits with depth and bottom time...I shouldn't be diving solo, but there are still things I do in life that I shouldn't do.  :smt002

2. The longer I stay down, the longer I need to stay on the surface to breath up and rest before the next dive...I prefer actually hunting and looking for fish rather then resting and breathing....same with diving deeper, if I'm going 55 or more all day I'm spending a lot of time swimming up and down...if I move into the 40-45 foot range or shallower I am spending more time actually either looking in holes, covering ground, or waiting to see if a fish comes in before I head back up...

3. I get tired!  :smt005 I can dive all day in shallower depths and with shorter bottom times, but my ability to dive deeper and stay down longer decreases if I'm doing deeper/longer drops over and over and over.

Anyway, probably more info than anybody cares about.

Thanks again!

Sincerely,

Jim
