I just got a new pfd, went with the stohlquist fishermen and was considering a knife to match.
I looked around and noticed it's not mentioned here on NCKA as far as I could find and got mixed reviews around the web. Anyone have personal experience with one of these?

Great little knife for emergency.
I keep loosing mine during dives.
I now use small piece fine copper break away wire to assist keeping it in its case.
I should mention I do wear it upside down for quick access.
Thought of mounting horz but have not done yet

Its the same as a Wenoka  Squeeze Lock Blunt Knife.  Great design. Its come in handy for me on a few emergency situations like cutting fishing line wrapped around somebody who rolled his kayak.

The blade needs regular sharpening and putting a dab of oil is a great idea.  Mine is almost worn out.  I need a new one soon.

I use both the PFD & the knife. I love the PFD, haven't needed the knife for an emergency yet...I keep the knife inside one of the pockets out of the way...afraid I'll drop it in the water if I use it...I keep it for piece of mind really

I use the Wenoka squeeze, mounted on the front of my PDF pocket. It's worked great for me, and it's accessible in an instant---highly recommended.

I have the Wenoka as well, its mounted on my PFD upside down as well.  It can gut trout on the factory edge!  Its quick grab if needed, and the lock in the sheath on mine hasn't failed yet.

This is what I have:

Works great, knife and scissors combo but a little expensive.

I use this same method. I have had mine for 10 years now with titanium blade. Thats just what they had then and there has been no problem with it. Just wash it off when I get home fresh or salt water fishing.
