Anyone up for some trolling action at new melones? I need to get some exercise and catch some fish while I am at it. I will be lanching from 49 bridge and going upriver.

Hey Brian G,

Are you still going to Melones on Sunday, or will you be up North showing off Joel's gift?   :blob1:

Either way, I will likely be fishing Melones on Sunday.  If you are going I will try the HWY 49 launch, otherwise I might head west out of turtletown and catch the prevailing wind back.

I am still going on sunday. I was hoping to sneak in both days. We can launch from tuttletown if you have want. I was thinking of the 49 bridge area up to parrots ferry because it is usually more sheltered from a northern wind like we have been having. Either launch will be fine. I will be trolling a cop car needle fish topline and a car cop needle fish with a 1 ounce. I'll get some crawlers and power bait for when I get tired. I'll check the board tommorrow night.

The Hwy 49 bridge launch works.  It's hard to say this time of year what the prevailing winds are.  If the winds gets too bad, there should be enough shelter close to the shore between the two bridges.

Assuming I am still free by Sunday morning  I will plan on the Hwy 49 bridge.

OK I am out.  This band of yellow on the radar makes me think that it will be a wet morning at melones.  The afternoon will probably be good, but that doesn't fit my schedule.
