Where does everyone get their minnows before going to Clear Lake. Also, which boat launch is recommended?

Not sure about the minnows, but it is a big lake.  Guess where to launch depends on where you are.  I have only used the Clear Lake State Park ramp and like it.  Nice place to stay as well.

The Ramp at Redbud park in city of clearlake is free,     and you can get minnows at the tackle shop that is adjacent.  The state park has a day use fee, but if you are going to be camping there that is a non issue.
CL is a big lake as was stated earlier, and has many launch points so it's more a matter of where you want to fish.
One last thing the winds can whip pretty good especially recently so keep an eye on the weather and be safe!
