Just saying !  :smt001
Took a walk out to the Salinas river area. Brought me rod with my just in case.  There was actually 6 other nut cases thinking as I was. Unfortunately I arrived just in time for the storm. So took a little walk to experience some of Mother Nature's Strength. Its awesome to say the least.

Not bad for the oooh awe of Mother Nature but definitely not what I would like for a good fishing day.

It's been wild up in Mendocino area with lots of winds, waves, hail and some early power outages.

I was actually out that day as well. The swell and surf was even higher that day. I was at the same location and you could see the swells build up twice as far back as today. The surge on high tide was bumping all the way up to the dunes. Barely enough room to walk on the beach without walking in the ice plant. Was a lot of the debri that was washing back and forth that made it very dangerous. Was actually hit by a small piece of 2x4 that caught my heel.  :smt011

Bulldog, what time were you there  ? I got there about 8 and fished til 10 something. I may have been one of the 6 nut cases. Definitely a lot of trash in the water. I did manage 3 nice perch for the couple hours before the rain really started. First fish was 9" and the next 2 were 11". Just enough for a meal. Can't seem to get the pictures off my phone but will try again later.

I must have just missed you. I was there somewhere around 10. I had the silver Honda crv. Was an ol timer that said he had seven as I drove up and he was leaving. Gonna hit it again Thursday or Friday. I know there are some big fish feeding right now with all this churned up water . :smt007. Both my fish last week in the storm were 13 inches.
