Upper Russian 1-26-07 (non-yak)

Andy (Kickin Bass) and I took a little stroll down the "upper Russian" today. We hit the river at 7:30 and there was no one else around. We both ended up hooking several yearlings that were recently released from the hatchery. I looked closely at one that I caught and saw the adipose fin had been cut off.

I was fortunate again today and landed a 19" hatchery hen that was still full of roe. We ended up stepping out of the river at around 15:30 hours (that's 3:30 pm) It was a long day, but we had a blast. Now it's to the smoker and cold beer!
