Eel river overnighter

Great pics.  Just curious, what kind of sleeping bag and clothing did you use to combat the temps at night. Although not as cold at the weekend before the temps were still in the low thirties and possibly 20's.

Jason--It was so frickin cold, I slept with every bit of clothing I had and nestled in a northface "cats meow" 0 degree bag. Even during the day if I got my hands wet It would take hearty calistenics to get some feeling again. Their are places in the Eel river valley That are so steep they never see the winter sun.

If you plan on taking camping gear in your SOT your going to need to invest in compression stuff sacks (granite gear) I was able to fit my compressed tent, bag, and sleep pad in my front hatch waterproofed and still have room to add inflatabe floatbags.

Brrr!   

OUch.  the frost makes me cold looking at it.  Elk at night was probably warmer that you in the sun on the Eel.  I was freezing at night in Elk in August. I can only imagine how cold you were on your adventure.
