I want to use pigtail connector for my battery connection and need advice.

I looked on Ebay, and there are different gauges for 2 pin connectors. Which gauge is appropriate? If u have links for where I can purchase, even better! I only need one set. Much appreciated!

I would get the water resistant ones that West Marine sells.  The one in the picture doesn't look as stout as the trailer connectors from West Marine.  They all seem to corrode if you don't keep them coated with di-electric grease.

I got mine from Pep Boys Auto Parts in the trailer products section. Nice red and black wiring already attached to the black modular plug. Think they were $3.00

Ebay ones were pretty poorly made, another junk. Get it elsewhere IMHO.

The less connection in the line, the better; less chance of corrosion in the wires.

You are actually alot better just putting spade connectors on the ends of the original wiring harness and connecting it to the battery; very minimal chance of getting salt water corrosion in the lines.

When you add a "quick disconnect' to the line, you now have 5 more points to get corrosion; and no matter how carefully you are at taking precautions to prevent intrusion, it will find a way into the lines.

As a general rule of thumb, the more connections you have, each connection adds to the total voltage loss which increases amperage draw and decreases the length of time you can run between charges.

I love the trailtech ones from batteryspace as 12v battery connectors.
