I did a little recon at the port this AM.  It was cold when I launched but not as bad as it was a few days ago.  I started with top water hoping for early bite but no cigar.  I moved on to swim baits with the same results.  I went through the tackle bag trying everything I brought but was unable to find the right lure.  The FF was pretty blank today with only a few marks hovering at around 25 feet.  The port was demolishing the concrete barges in Lake Washington today so maybe the sound drove all the fish away.   I ran into CaddyChris looking for the same thing as I but at that time he had similar results.  I ended the day at 1:30 with no fish caught.  I prefer to think I’m saving the fish for Saturday!  Here’s a few photos for your approval….

This sunrise was worth getting up early.

The rowing club had a 144 foot boat manned by 24 rowers today. :smt103

This huge sea lion was scrarfing up a big ole carp....and anything else he could fit in his mouth.

The guys in the boat informed me that all the old barges are going to be demolished and hauled off.

CaddyChris on the hunt.  Hope you found them!

Dang, Sam, I was hoping you would post the inside scoop on what the fish were going after.  Now I'll have to do all the grunt work myself.  :yak

Those barges have been there for decades.  Lake Washington is full of ship/barge wrecks.  Sounds like they're going to clean it all out.
