I am finally picking up my new kayak tomorrow and already have a mini vacation set up for Pinecrest next week.  If any of you are interested in meeting up out there, let me know.  I am a complete newbie to kayak fishing and wouldn't mind some company out there.

Tight lines everyone!  A report and some pics as soon as I get back.

Dress for immersion it's gonna be cold up there.
I haven't been by there in a while, but I would bring wheels since after Labor Day they start releasing water. I'm not sure how much is in there.

Well, here is the late report.

Water is well below the end of the launch.  Several large rocks and stumps are visible in the water just under the surface, so launching anything other than a kayak is fairly risky.  Lots of grainy mud too.  Air temps in the low 30's and snow on most of the bank.  Because of this, I decided to keep the kayak in the truck and just fish from shore.

Only fished for a total of 5 hours the entire trip.  Caught 6 trout to 14", and LDR 3 more.  Only saw 3 other groups fishing and nobody else catching.  Power egg/Power worm in green/chartreuse was the only real bait that worked.  Other colors and lures had no takers at all.
