I am a longtime fisherman, newer kayak fisherman and wanting to get into the Rock Fish, Lingcod, etc.  For those of you that have fished these locations would you be willing to post pros and cons regarding: launch, hazards, fishing, and anything else you think would be helpful for someone getting started.  Thanks!  Katz

TC is by far the easiest launch on the sonoma coast as long as your car can handle the drive down the hill.  Fishing is good, but other spots can be better.  $8.  There's nowhere better to start from for a newbie.  Only thing to watch is the wash rocks on the north end of the cove, but easy to paddle the wide way round.

Usually can catch a few fish at the very least at TC. Never skunk there. On good days, two of my friends and i catch around 50-60 rock fishes and plenty of lings.

I've never fished still water north but Stillwater south has a good variety of fishes to catch from. Might be high pressure some days. Con is the stairs. You will have to take your kayak down and up when you come back
