Hi All,

I'm relatively new to SF and would love to get a yak eventually. I don't have a lot of free time outside of work but would like to join in on some trips either in a rented yak or one that I could possibly borrow/rent from a member. Looking primarily to fish in the sf bay. Any tips on best ways to find people to meet up with?

Welcome to NCKA SF Angler  :smt006  The best way is post a "hook-up" and usually there'll be some people can join you or you can join other people's hook-ups.

Welcome to NCKA.  Fishing the Bay requires more gear and expertise than it may seem.  You might want to consider looking into hiring a guide down that way.  If you're up north in Humboldt County I can outfit you and show you the ropes, but ocean seasons have ended for now.  River steelhead coming up soon.

Best of luck in your quest to learn the sport and get geared up.   :smt001
