 What's up, guys?

Can any of you Sac locals point me toward a good spot to target late fall run salmon? I'm looking for a good mellow spot to take my GF kayaking this weekend. You know, somewhere she can enjoy the scenery and dangle a P-line jig or toss a spinner without getting ripped downstream. Maybe I'll troll a Silvertron or sardine-wrapped killer fish? Also, ideally somewhere that's holding some of those mythical, chrome bright, late-fall bruisers we always hear about...

It seems to me like this recent rain storm might have coaxed a few fresh ones into the river system, and I would LOVE to catch one or two for he smoker.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Cheers,

~Alex

All of metro sac area should be the same right now. You can launch at free port, sutterville, the minnow hole,  Miller or discovery. Hit any of these  spots on a good outgoing tide with a jig and you should hook into a nice chromie.

Nice. Thanks for the tips.

Discovery Park sounds interesting. Maybe I'll give that a shot.
