I have an older friend, 75 years young, who would like to catch some bluegills, redear, green sunfish, etc. by fly fishing from the bank. Can anyone recommend a place for him to go in the Davis, Woodland, Sacto area? He's not interested in fishing from a yak just the bank.
Thanks in advance for any info you might provide.  :smt006
When the lakes and rivers are full the trout will walk the earth.

There's a spot I used to go to on Putah Creek along Old Davis Rd south of the college, but that was 10 years ago...not sure what it looks like now.  Used to do real well on the bass and bluegill there.  Should be able to go from shore or wade in a foot or two of water.
