We met up at 7. Hit the water about 7:30. Played around on the 160 side a bit but nothing. Switch over to the other side and drift a bit and Jay gets one. Then I get a bite and lose it at the boat. 5 minutes later my boy Seth has one. I'm getting hits left and right. Think I have it and it's gone. I'm just not getting the hook! By now the guys are at 2 each, at least.
I'm reaching for a smoke, pole is on the deck. Of course, right. Fish! Finaly... I'm on the board too.

Well, that was my only fish. The guys had more than they could count.  :smt013
I'm going back. I have to redeem myself.
 Oh The Shame.

Seriously though... Totally fun float!

The man, with the fist one of the day!

Chris and Seth,

Thanks for fishing with me today. It was great to have you guys out there today. I am disappointed we weren't catching the big ones, but at least we were catching. Here's a picture of Seth with one of his beauties.

Chris, next time will be your turn in front of the camera. I hope to be out there again tomorrow morning searching for the ones that got away.

Jay

You don't need to take any water samples. We can tell you the water is "fishy"!

Is there a fee to launch at Ko-Ket?

We paid $5 per vehicle. Self pay at the little cabin by the launch. The envelopes all say boat launch $20. We crossed it out and wrote parking $5.

Where did you guys launch? Is there a boat launch right there on anchor drive?

There is a launch and a grassy bank area next to the snack shop.

Here is a link to a previous post showing the resort and launch ramp. The fee last year was $6, but this year is $5  for a car top kayak launch.

WST120,

Thanks for the link. I managed to look at the wrong town entirely!
