Launched at Ko-Ket this morning around 7 AM on the outgoing tide. Fished the west side of the river using a 4" senko and caught two bass around 12". Switched to a 5" senko and caught a 17" smallie. Drifted down to the Ryde dock catching just a few small bass. All three of the larger fish were caught the same section of the river.

That is a beauty.  The palm tree right before you get to the Ryde Hotel dock has produced some good sized smallies and one big salmon. No salmon this year, though.  That whole rocked in west side will produce smallies and an occasional legal striper.  Good report, I'm right next door at The River.  Last trailer downriver, across from the Ryde.

Barefoot1,

Thanks, and I know the palm tree you are talking about. I have had good luck there, especially at low tide.  You have got it made living there! I will "honk" next time I float by (hopefully tomorrow morning or Sunday morning)!

That's bad ass! Nice fish! Down by the tunnel is a good place for big stripers too.

Tunnel? What tunnel? I'm still new to the area and very slowly learning new areas. So now that you have "hooked" me, please tell me more about this tunnel. Thanks!

I will also pull out my Delta map to see if I can find the tunnel.

Down river from ko-ket maybe a quarter mile on the 160 (river rd.) side. Tunnel trailer park docks. Sandy bottom, no weeds. Good spot for bait fishing/trolling stripers.
