Get it out on the water price of $725.!

My thoughts on the X-13... I've owned the Scupper Pro, Prowler 13 and 15, Prowler 13T, Wilderness Tarpon 160, and a Perception Search and like the X-13 better for the following reasons:speed, as it's as fast as the Tarpon 16' with it's 13'10" length of long water line, easier to turn (especially on river with current), a bit more stability, and a whole lot lighter at 60lbs vs 82lbs (without rudder) on the Tarpon. Build quality and roto mold polymer material is stiffer than the OK kayaks, faster/easier to maintain a steady speed, and excellent in waves with it's almost silent bow. Search was also heavier by 15lbs, but did not like the small front hatch. Scupper Pro is a very good kayak, buth. t weight capacity is low with a wet ride and if over 200lbs, it's handling and speed drops big time. It's also too snug in the seat due to it's 26" width. I'll never bad mouth a Prowler as they are excellent performers. That said, after paddling the X-13, I'm not going back to them either since I love the all around performance and huge weight capacity, 450lbs, of the X-13. Just some thoughts from a part time fisherman, full time touring kayaker. As they say, YMMV.
