My brother-in-law is in town next weekend from Idaho and we were talking about fishing.  I'm not geared up or experienced enough to take him out kayaking by myself, so was looking to use a guide, or a party boat.  We are in Santa Rosa, so the sonoma coast or Bay would be good.  He likes sharks, so it might be fun to get him on a party boat for sharks, but getting him hooked up on anything bigger than his PB of 5lb bass would be the goal.   Definately thinking of Salt water not Fresh, unless we can get Salmon somewhere.....

what are the odds of getting a booking on one weeks notice and who should I call?  Any comments and referrals welcome!  Thanks

Drive up to Sheter Cove and see LoletaEric he'll put you on some fish.
Just PM him for info.

How gauche, but I'll recommend Santa Cruz Kayak fishing.  (Basically, me!)

Or, come down to Santa Cruz.  Lingcod are hungry and getting bigger. We caught limits  (3 each) in three hours today up the coast from SC.  and released four or five underlings, and same for rockfish.  Still a chance at halibut as well.  North Coast or SMC can be arranged as well.

LoletaEric was my first thought, but the drive is a bit much for a one day trip.  Santa Cruz might more than we are ready for, but I'll call you Bushy once I confirm with the brother in law.  I'd love to hook up with a halibut!
