Western Kayak Bass Series (WKBS) has teamed up with Kayak Bass Fishing (aka KBF) to offer WKBS anglers the opportunity to qualify for the KBF National Championship where the winner will be awarded $20,000!

Now that we have your attention, you probably want to know how you can get qualified!  Western Kayak Bass Series has one event left for our 2015 season, which will be held on Clearlake on September 13th.  The top 10 anglers at this event will win a qualifying spot for the KBF National Championship.  If for whatever reason an angler in the top ten cannot attend the KBFNC, the opportunity will be passed along to the next angler in the rankings until we have 10 anglers that can attend the KBFNC.

So more info on the Clearlake Open:

Entry: $50
Big Fish: $10 (Optional)
Insurance Fee: $15 (only if first WKBS event)

Registration and Sign ups will take place the morning of the event at Clear Lake State Park.  This is an open launch event, which means after you pay your entry and register, you are free to travel to the Launch location of your choice on Clearlake.  You may be on the water up to 30 mins before sunrise (if you have a 360 light), but no lines in the water until official Sunrise (6:49 am).

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

This event sounds like it could be really fun!  I have heard lots of good things about Clear Lake.

When is KBFNC?

The KBFNC is scheduled for March 25, 2016 - March 26, 2016 on Kentucky Lake in Gilbertsville, Kentucky.

The day before (March 24, 2016) the KBF Open will be held on Kentucky lake and will give those that did not qualify for the National Championship another opportunity to do so.

The following day (March 27th) is the KBF Invitational, which is reserved for the Top Ten of the National Championship and some of the top pros and personalities in the kayak fishing industry.  The KBF Invitational will award $30,000 for First Place!  The location for the invitational will be announced 30 Days prior to the event and will be within a short driving distance of the KBF National Championship

PokerFishin, do you kayak fish, or even own a kayak?

I ask because every single one of your posts here has been to promote one of your events.

Other tournaments are posted here by members who actually contribute to the community.

You are walking a pretty thin line.

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Yes I do own a Kayak.  In fact, I own three.  I am not a multi-species fisherman.  I only fish for Bass.  There are other kayak anglers that can vouch for me as a contributor to the community.  I apologize if all of my posts happen to be related to events that I'm involved with.   I am still trying to figure NCKA out.

I'm hoping that I can make it out there to help support those that qualify and maybe get in a little fishing.  And possibly fish the KBF open on Thursday.
