Berryessa; a little smokey but....7/30

I fished Berry early this AM.  I launched out of Capel (yaks and canoes only now) and tried a variety of lures before sunrise.  They didn’t want any surface stuff but final started liking chartreuse spinner baits.  I was only able to land 4 fish before the wind came up to around 15+ mph….visions of Big Break all over again except with a lot of smoke!  I was the only one in the parking  lot early but when I retrieved the boats started showing up in force…..only to find the ramp nearly out of the water…….just like the plastic navy likes!!   A few photos…
