I launched from the shore spots at sherman island road and headed across the sacramento river for the channel with grass, shad, and sardine searchin for a striper or sturgeon.  Tide was incoming peaking at 1230pm, water smooth, wind light and fish scarce.

All the reports are saying that they are in there on the incoming but from word of mouth I get that they are near pittsburg.  From previous years these word of mouth reports are actually quite reliable, only thing is that this year there is probabley a definate lack of salmon eggs in this area.  A real good bait in this area.  I wish I would of hit the mothball but maybe next time.  JTF..

Whuts up JTF, sounds like all the other things linned up except the FISH! Was the tide doing a major swing that day?I know it gets CRAZY there.  I launched at the pay marina and stuck around the island breaks in Nov(only 2ft.swing).I have Hooked up on them in a PB where I think your talking about 15+yrs.ago and was looking over there thinking it can be done.

Way to fight the power-lines fisherman.   Season's greetings and I hope you get ol' Tugboat soon..
