Wanted to post a little local info.... so the lakeside campground at camp Richardson will be closed this year for renovations, so only the westside campground across 89 will be open this summer.... anyone making camprich res should take this into consideration. Cabins and the motel at camprich as well as the waterfront condos are all easy launches. Fallen leaf campground is also across hwy 89..... water is crazy low this year! excited for this event... :fishing2

Which site  Bird ?

Sorry for the delay responding Vic, just saw this.  I've got #572 booked. As Jude mentioned, Camp Rich folks reported that campsites east of Hwy 89 will be closed this year, which is a bummer.

Sounds like it's time to make my Tahoe Reservation. I've never camped there before. I don't want to jump the gun. Has Camp Richardson been chosen as the official location? Are we working on getting tourney rates?

I booked next John at Richardson.
Never been, so not sure about launching kayak but I believe we have to drive to the boat ramp.
I'm also waiting for any input too.

hey guys the launch is from kiva beach at the tallac historic site, when u turn towards kiva the road splits, take the road to the right....park in the lot at the end. The kiva beach access road is two streets north from camp Richardson on the lake side.... I'm sure ricci will provide detailed info soon.

Ok so here's a photo of the area. I'm not exactly sure where Ricci is planning on hosting the event but I believe he is planning on the left parking lot commonly known as kiva/ski beach lot (right under Tallac point). The lot to the right is kiva/tallac lot. The left lot is definitely an easier launch, neither area have a fee. People camping at camp rich can launch at the marina and paddle over or drive to kiva in 2 mins. Hope this helps for any recon missions.
