Wharf to Wharf race on Sunday.

Will be a clusterf*ck from Capitola Wharf to SC Wharf...so unless you are running I would suggest avoiding the area.

If you get to the launch earlier than them you should be OK  :smt001

"The race starts at 8:30am sharp.  As many Wharf to Wharf veterans will tell you, getting to the Race Start can be a challenge.  There is limited parking near the start line and many nearby roads are closed for the race.  Your best bet is to plan an early arrival on race morning and utilize our free bus shuttles that run from Santa Cruz parking lots to the START of the race beginning at 6:30am.  The shuttles run TO the Start Line FROM the Santa Cruz County Building on Ocean St and the parking lot on the corner of River St & Water St.  There are NO shuttles from the Finish to the Start Line BEFORE the race."

In SC, some roads are closed from 8:30 to 10:30am:

Last year, I launched from the SC harbor and had no problem. Just get there early, and don't limit out too quickly...

Only Bushy has to worry about limiting too early in SC...

It might take me more than a couple hours to get my halibut limit.

See you guy there bright and early!
