With the family in town and no chance for fishing, we decided to head for some hard water action at the temporary ice rink.  As we arrived who should we see at the landing but Pat and Randy.  Their stringers where empty but they had smiles on their faces.  We wished them Merry Christmas and hoped for one last rockfish trip before New Years and then we headed out on the frozen pond.  The swell was small and after a few gear adjustments we all had a great time.  We ran into another old diver friend also enjoying this alternate water sport with family on this fine Christmas day.  No one fell down, got wet or even needed help landing.  We skated close to two hours and headed home each keeping one 4 to 6 inch smile and a great Christmas memory.  Time for turkey.

Merry Christmas
