Yosemite in October?? Trying to plan a trip but the cabin wont be avail until then.. Was hopeing forwarm weather.. :smt012

Awesome time of year to be in the valley. Nice cool weather, trees turning colors and less crowded.

Best time of year there overall. The waterfalls are usually dry or small, but everything else is prime. The trees are full of color, the temps at mild, and there's NOBODY THERE !!! Last time in was in Yosemite was late October and you could go everywhere without being trampled over or spend the day stuck in traffic. You'll thank yourself that you waited until then.

I think it depends on if early Oct or Late Oct.  The bears should be hungry before bed.
