Launched behind Nor Cal Surf and fished the rocks @ the point. Trolled for Salmon for a bit and got bored. Conditions sucked, surf was up (I think I got fully airborne off a bigger wave on launch) it was windy and maybe 6-7' swell at the point. Finally moved on to Rocks and Lings and it turned on. Caught a big rock and maybe a dozen blues, bunch of white croaker and a 34" ling.

Like normal the fishing turned on when the office was calling ..."something just popped up can I call you in an hour?" Ha, business calls always make the fish hit!

Oh yea, Ling stole my gaff and took it for a 10 minute tour before bringing it back. He was so nice I brought him home to meet the Missus.

Anyway, I had a blast and fish and chips are on! :smt003

Tried fishing from Pacifica pier and south of there many ,many moons ago. Watched locals pick up salmon and stripers from the pier and south of there at the rocks for striper. Watched a guy climb those rocks south at low tide. Walk out on the smaller stepping stones and crush  stripers with a large castmaster. Never forget it. That is a crazy pier for fishing at times.  :smt005
Good luck. Im gonna try for hali's here in Monterey bay. See if there are any seabass cruising by as well.

Going to take it somewhat easy in a 15 foot aluminum.  :smt044

Nice ling. I live in Pacifica if you ever want to paddle around. I like to drop in on rockaway beach.
