Went to Howe after work.
The water looked a tiny bit up.
It was windy like last week. Low flow & high wind pushed me up stream. It was kinda cool.
Fished until sunset but didn't see any signs of fish...

Hope they will make it up here...

Naoaki

Thanks for the AR scouting report Naoaki.

I plan to launch from Sailors bar at first light and pull out at Discovery park looking for a trophy. I know it's a long shot but they've been spotted on the AR for the past 2 weeks. T-Bone and I will be out if you guys wanna join our search for the early unicorns. Also, can you tell me if I paddle from the American to the Sacramento, where on the Sac I should continue looking for said unicorns?  :smt002 :smt003

If you don't mind my asking, what sort of tactics do you use to chase unicorns (salmo-corns?) in this environment?
There's always money in the banana stand.

Jigging and boondoggle was the plan. Got all kinds of flying c's, krokodile, flatfish and if that doesn't work I'm drifting roe. Any advice for me?

Went back out Sat morning.
Got to Howe ramp 5:30am.
The water was still up, but no sign of salmon...
Three power boat were fishing but only one fishing for salmon.
Switch to striped ~10am, off the water by 11am...

I believe that's pretty good list.
