I believe that the Jackson boys had a prototype "kayaking rod" with an adjustable length butt section back at GS7.

I was checking the rod out and all that I could see that would make it a kayak specific rod was the clip at the butt to clip to, but isn't that kind of a no-no, especially in the salt for entanglement issues? Other than that, what makes it a kayak specific rod?

It also has a shorter grip.for the price it's a decent rod.only thing they didn't mention was the material of the guides and rings that's what I was mostly interested in
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it
