Hello:

There are a number of separate threads & topics on transducer fit and more are sure to follow now that kayak manufacturers are taking note of the NEED for an easy way for consumers to mount transducers.  First we have the OK boats with the thru-hull mount specific to one model H-Bird ducer.  Hobie now that the 'Lowrance Ready' transducer mount in most of its kayaks.  Next came Wilderness Systems Ride & Thresher models with a removeable pod (I really like this one!).

Soo....   The question comes about quite often:  'Does this transducer fit this brand/model boat?'

As we all find links, photos or just do it ourselves, let's share our ability to fit/rig.  Please be sure to include the Brand/Model/Year of the kayak and info on the Brand/Model/Transducer used.

Thanks!

I tried the Lowrance 50/200 HDI transducer last night on a 2014/2015 Wilderness Systems Thresher 140 attached to the cool removable electronics pod.  The transducer is about 1/8" too wide to fit thru the opening of the hull so it appears it will not fit.  I suspect this is the same for the Thresher 155 & Ride since they use the same removable electronics pod.

The Lowrance 83/200 HDI transducer will fit.

Both the standard (non-HDI) Lowrance 83/200 & 50/200 transducer seem to fit just fine as does the Lowrance DSI (455/800) transducer.

The Dragonfly fits the Wildys with the pods. It is a long transducer but mounted right it works.

2015 Hobie Revolution 13
HDI Skimmer Transducer 000-10976-001 from Lowrance, its 83/200 & 455/800.  I installed it onto the lowrance ready plate in about 15 minutes.  Cable routing throught the hull produced lots of cuss words.  Port behid the sead is a royal PITA to reseat. I gave up and gooped it in place.  Set up worked great on my Lowrance Elite 4X

Set it up like this on the Hobie Hull Plate

the mesh pocket ports can only support one Lowrance plug with to room for another cable as the plugh fitting just makes it through the opening by itself so raterh that drill another hole I ran the sonar up the right side and gooped it in place over to the left side where I have the FF. in two days of fishing I never even noticed it.
