The day started off a little slow, over cast and cool with a slight breeze. Trolled here and there for a nada.Fishermen on bank hooking fish here and there as we trolled by.One fisherman said as we passed him if you hook a 10lber its mine it just broke off. just then we had a hook up. After a few leaps Doug landed a 4.5 lb Rainbow.Trolled here and there Next  hookup a double. 2 small mouth 15" and 17" what fighters netted same took pic's returned same to lake to fight again. On last pass of the day heading for launch ramp hooked small rainbow Doug thanks for the therapy
pic's Blood on small mouth washed off and he swam away

Had a great time meeting Ray and exploring a new body of water.  The fishing was a bit slow, probably because we were fishing too soon after the "drop".  Seems the new fish were more likelyto go after easy pickn's--power bait from the shore--than make the effort to go after "live" lures.

But we did get a nice trout that was a lot of fun to bring in and we had a double hook up of SMB that Ray already displayed.  That was my first SMB.

Had a good time asking Ray about all the different types of fishing he'd done in the past, and looking over his "tackle store' full of fishing supplies.  It was a nice, dry day, and moving around in the boat certainly left me with fewer aches than an 8 hour kayak fish would have produced.

Hope to hook up with you again Ray.

Doug

Scott,

The trout was 21.5 inches long and I think Ray said it weighed about 4.5 lbs.
