On the water at 7:45am, off at 11:45. Nice cold morning, no rain. There was a little breeze on the open water this morning, seemed to die down later. I was expecting more boats on the water. Saw two other kayaks, one had two people in it. Fair share of people fishing from the banks, mostly in the south cove. Lots of kastmasters and woolly-buggers being tossed around. I didn't see a single trout hooked. I tried a lot of stuff but didn't get any trout love. Got tired of that and headed to the east end of the lake where I caught a 13" LMB. Catching that made my day and got the skunk stink off my boat.

We're still covered in RS skunk stink. No love for us today either. Saw 6 nice trout landed while we were there, 5 of 'em within 15 minutes (as we we're loading up).  :smt013

Maybe next time we'll have to head to the east end and get rid of the skunk. Do weeds count?

If fact, my oldest says the place should be named "Rancho Skunko". But, there's always next time. And I did get to use my new anchor....sweeet.

No. The weather was too nasty for me that weekend.
