Been a hard week and the wife came up with the idea for me to go chill and fish... I must have the WAF brimmin'  :smt007 . Anyway, pretty beat so don't want to go too far. Could be a Crappie-fest @ Lex along with some trout trollin'... if there's any left. Heard they just stocked SC but that would mean lots of people and not down for that. Company always welcome.

Lemme check with the wife, but I could be convinced to go to lexington if I'm free.

scr is less wind-affected in general than lex. I don't think it'll be crowded.

there are crappie at scr as I caught one last weekend, but I think not edible due to mercury.

the reservoir is low, they seem to be stacked in 40 feet right off the ramp.

rain might make lexington really muddy, not sure about scr, probably a little less so.

one option is to surf perch with bait.  use a slido with 3 or 4oz triangle and a leader to
circle hook with sand crab, mussel or shrimp. super tall pvc rod holder (like 5' tall) and
limber rod. have seen a guy doing this near the harbour mouth to good effect, he says
he can do it even when the waves are big.

I say Lex @ 8AM. Probably will be a bit of trolling across the rez and then off to the Crappie coves with the jigs and see if I can't make a lunch out f it. :smt003

Yakuza, Mol, let's do this!  :smt118

Hey Z.  Cool to see you out there today.  Hope you did good, although it looked pretty tough out there.  Took the dog out for his first paddle so I didn't bring any tackle.  He was funny.  Toward the southend, he saw some ducks and wanted to chase them so "SPLASH", in the drink he goes.  froze his tail off, but i'm sure he had a good time overall.  Didn't want to disrupt your fishing time, otherwise, I would have hung around and chatted alongside.  Catch you again
