Scott with live bait ??
I am planning on fishing Del Valle on Saturday, as of today if the weather holds out. I don’t mind the rain but I hate the wind.

I am really going to try and get there. The reports from Mooch, and Frank, the others are _killing_ me. Striper Fiesta! Arrrgh. Will firm up later in the week but am determined to be there at 0700.

Question: where is the best place to get bait when going there? I'll be brining the fly rod and lures, but when it come to fishing, I am a 'belt and suspenders' kind of guy--if I can bring bait too it's groovy.

It's rainign a lot otday and more tomorrow and then more again Friday and Saturday. At hwat point is all the run-off going to cloud up Del Valle and make fishing difficult? Darn rain--I wish it had waited a bit. I don't care about it raining on me--itsteh water clarity I am concerend about. Mooch mentioned the fishing sucks up there once that happens.

I'll be there in the rain no question. I am wondering how much accumulated rain will cloud up the water. Or was it cloudy Saturday and, obviously then, it didn't matter?

Marmot - if and when it get's muddy by the launch ramp, you can paddle towards the Dam. The water should still be clear far up that way. I'd like to join you guys, but I have a date with EK at San Pablo for Sturgeon. Good luck to all! Follow Frank, he knows "da spots"....make sure you float him a San Miguel beer  :beer2(ICE COLD)  :smt002
