Gates open at 0700hrs. will be there and try once again. I think I'll add grass shrimp to the arsenal. Company welcome. Frankfishing

The alternative would be Del Valle on Friday. There will be a minus tide this Fri. making the fishing window very limited.

i always launch off palo alto side, don't have to worry about gate not open yet.  i don't have to pay toll that way, but if you in east bay then better to launch on that side i guess.

Chris,
Just follow the signs as you come to the bridge. Can't miss it as sixhz stated and a very easy crossing if you wanted to meet up with others from the east side. Very reachable by Kayak or VHF.Duane and I have actually been fishing the west side of the bay using the tides.

I would launch from Palo Alto as I am coming from Santa Cruz.

Mol,

Palo Alto launch is at the end of Embarcadero Rd.  It is a right turn off of 101 going from San Jose to SF.  Go to the end of the road.  Left turn at the end.  Right takes you to the Dump.  Left turn past the Duck Pond and it wines around to the left.  The Launch is at the end of the turn around.  Really. nice launch but the problem is it is a lot farther paddle to get to the fishing spot.  It can get windy and choppy.

It is ok to launch on the palo alto side by the bridge if you like your truck broke into . I have been broke into there two times they broke the window and took my cb and stereo. If you want to launch from that side of the bay you should try the old palo alto launch at the end of embarcadaro. you won,t have to deal with the mud that much because there is a dock with in the slough for wind surfers and kayaks. the launch is closed. It is maybe a 2 1/2 mile paddle to the channel south of the train bridge.

Fri
Dec 15  Mostly Cloudy
 57°/37° 10%
Just an update on the weather.

It will be a minus tide on Fri. and I had a 10 yards mud walk to reach the beach yesterday at 1530hrs., under the bridge. So with that said I think that it would be prudent to make it a short day for myself. Probalbly about 1300 to 1330 since minus will peak at around 1600 hrs.
Weather wise it is looking pretty good.

Chris, For your information HWY 880 is the old HWY 17 or Nimitz as we use to call it back when dino's roamed the land.
