Hi folks,

I will be up in Seattle for an extended part of the summer (~July-Aug) and was wondering if anyone had any fishing locales or contacts that could help me out within a few hours of town. I can't take my boat :smt010.  Looking for shore fishing access, kayak rental suggestions, or (better yet) personal contacts that might be into helping a fellow fisherman get out on the water. I know the latter is a stretch, but I am friendly and competent (bringing fishing gear) enough to not be a burden to anyone.  I'll be looking through the NWKA site meanwhile, but I appreciate any insider info from you guys! Thanks a million in advance, Eugene (PI)
Thanks fish!

It's a pink salmon year.  Tons of options to get after them.  And as Fiver says, the NWKA boyz don't bite.

Dungi season is about to open. Horse clams and varnish clams are easy to dig up for bait.  Later summer people use buzz bombs off the beach at Point No Point for coho. There's a "bubble fishery" at Tulalip Bay for salmon that's a very short paddle. Lots of oysters in Hood canal.
