California Delta (June 14th) Preview
We are less than a week away from our first open event of the season on the California Delta! With temps expected to be in the upper 90's, we are still expecting to see some monster bass caught!
The California Delta is slated as one of the best places to catch your personal best as any cast can result in an absolute trophy! With an outgoing morning tide (low @ 9:54 AM Rio Vista) and incoming afternoon tide (high @ 3:41 PM Rio Vista) those who are able to make the proper adjustments will come out on top!
As the summer heats up, expect to see the topwater and frog bite to be a factor in this event. Craw patterned crankbaits are also a popular choice among Delta anglers! And never forget the all mighty stickbait, like the Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits Senko!
Those of you looking to rent a kayak for this event please contact The Headwaters Kayak Shop to get your boat reserved! The Big Fish of the event will also be awarded with a Hawg Pack from Delta Hawg Hunters!
We will be launching from Tower Park Marina And Resort (right on Highway 12) at 6 am! Wes Jones will begin registering anglers at 4:30 am. Please bring cash to ensure prompt payouts at the end of the day.

NOTE: We would also like to remind everyone to bring plenty of water to remain hydrated, as heat related illnesses are a real possibility with the forecasted high temperatures!
