Met up with AbaloneJoe and took the kayaks out of Caspar hoping to find some vermillion.

The vis looked great from the start. Could see the bottom starting from the beach to the furthest out i've ever seen it. Almost out of the cove we saw the fish boiling. Couldn't see what they were. As we got to the point the rock I wanted to dive by was being held hostage by sea lions. I paddled closer and they began bailing off. I thought they were scattering but....no... they were a little pissed that I was in their spot. One starting chasing me for a good distance and I could barely paddle fast enough to keep it away. After it was gone I thought I was good but then saw a trail of bubbles following my kayak.

Got in and had an easy 30'+ of vis. Wasn't very fishy but managed to get a couple lings and cabs, and a few scallops each. One scallop I found just laying in the sand completely unattached. It looked like the few fish that were there were holed up protected from the swell so we went in to shallower protected water. I didn't see much there, moved and did one more spot.

Not much going on their either, but right as I was about to call it a day I came up on the head of a wolf eel. Shot him and as I was pulling him out of the hole more and more kept coming. Didn't think it was that big. Ended up being 56".

I was so exhausted I could barely get my kayak back to my car with Joe helping. Apparently nearly 11 days in a row is my limit. Today is a much needed rest day then back to it tomorrow.

Here's the video. Loving Vimeo. Idk how it knows to choose the coolest thumbnail for the video. Love the eels head pinned below  :smt001

Wow haven't been on here for a bit, and then I see this, awesome video!

I like vimeo so much better too, first it actually loads the video ahead of time so you can skip around. That is a major plus

I remember when YouTube was new and had the worst quality not even 480p. And people were switching then YouTube stepped up.

But now it's full of ads, and doesn't preload anything. Costing a huge amount of data.

Anybody else remember when YouTube had a button to video reply and people would almost have discussions through videos

I HATE YOUTUBE. Not only were most of my recent uploads automatically muted because I used music I PAID FOR, but they straight up deleted some of my old ones that I really loved and can't get back now. Yet they don't do it to the people that run ads and have viral videos that make them money. Garbage now. Vimeo was worth the $5 a month.

YouTube mindset has been lost since Google bought it look into it.

Also it's legal to use anything you want.

You must fight for it. Look at my videos I just credit

"This video is fair use under U.S. copyright law because it is noncommercial and transformative in nature, uses no more of the original than necessary, and has no negative effect on the market for the original work."

Your videos are not lost or deleted.  They are blocked in there data base. You can get them back!

I was also pleasantly surprised that a artist I used. Actually put one of my weirder videos as her #1 on her main Playlist

Kristin Milner, great video game themed (idm?)

I have tried that, and emailed. There are a bunch of videos and sites about how they have (recently) turned into music Nazis. Even people who have made their own original music are getting their videos muted because the new audio recognition they used registered it as something else. According to Youtube you may not use any music but your own even if you are not receiving compensation and credit the artist. The only way to use it is to gain complete licensure from the recording agency, or agencies, and that is nearly impossible.

Hmm good to know, good thing I save all my videos for the YouTube apocalypse of my channel. Maybe I got lucky and sent that thing way and got on some list that the computer has not picked up.

My continous walk thru using German idm, has been blocked in Germany though haha. Funny the computer blocked that

I guess I've just been super lucky with YouTube...I've had a few blocked and a few that won't play on mobile devices, but in general mine seem to go through OK...

If they start blocking more stuff though I might have to switch to Vimeo...would be a bummer though cuz I like having my channel that shows all my vids in one place...

Congrats again Gio!!

I hear ya, close to 600 subscribers and a half a million views and i'm gonna have to say I quit... Loved having my videos all there, and having them backed up as well but if they are really going to start deleting my stuff... I might just take my videos down and delete my channel. I don't want to support them. :smt011 Youtube was once awesome, and I put up with all the downhill crap like Google+ throughout the years but now it's just beyond even worth dealing with. I'd rather pay and support Vimeo.

Eel was so good. Home made Unagi nigiri.
