Hey I have never caught a striper before and was wondering if people are catching them in santa cruz. If you are, how are you doing it. Thanks for your help.

A lot of guys have been getting em from shore recently all the way down to monterey wharf....not me...but a lot of guys.  :smt005

Send albycor or alien a pm if you wanna ask how they've been successful.

Some guys get em off yaks down here too....send pablitopescador or fishmaster1 or cen coast a pm for more details...

Good luck!

Sincerely,

Jim

Just throw any kind of popper in the water. Anything that make a splash lol.. And you'll catch a fish. I've been even throwing offshore pelagic popper from shimano with great success. Here's one from this morning.
