Clementine May 27

Headed out for 3-4 hours to just get on the water. Got a call from the Wildy rep who said he was going so I met him up there at 4pm. Went out with my go to dark blue with black flake Senko with chartreuse colored garlic scented tail wacky rigged. Caught a few 12" LMB and was torn up by Blue Gill stealing my Senko's. Caught a few Blue Gill on drop shot 3" Gulp Minnows and the wacky Senko's. No luck on any cranks or spinnerbaits. Cruised around the lower end of the lake for a few hours picking one up one here and there. Just as the sun went behind the hill the SMB bite turned on a little. I mean "little". 1st one was about 6-7". The next was the biggest at 14". All small fish yesterday. I missed the hot 18-19" SMB spring bite I guess this year. Next year I will get my 20"er.

always wanted to fish there, but havent made it yet     I want to see a 20"smallie!

My best there is 18.875". There must be bigger. One day I caught 4 18" plus and a lot of 15-18"

I caught a 17" pikeminnow there last Sunday. And no other bites whatsoever.

I did not have a FF. It was cool, but I could have swam in it. There was one boat when I got there towing kids on a tube. Can't be too cold.

Another month or two and it's supposed to be pretty bath watery...
