Hi all,

My name is Andy and I'm a life long Eureka area resident.  Not much of a fisherman but have been kayaking for years and often times while OTW think 'I might as well have a line in right now', so now I'm going to make it happen.  Did a ton of research for a fishing yak and thought I had it figured out...THEN I tried some hobies at a demo the other weekend.  Now my mind is made up to jump straight to the dark side.  That said I won't buy a new one so I'll probably have to wait until the end of the year when guys start selling their '15's because I want that upgraded seat.  So, until I find a good deal on a '15 Revo13 or OB I'll just be lurkin', but
wanted to say hi, this seems like an awesome community and has already been an invaluable asset for me.

Thanks!

Welcome...

I would guess, at least from NCKA, that we won't see 2015's pop-up for sale very fast/often ... maybe 1-2 years?  I'd suspect that you might find one on Craigslist (2015) faster from someone who got it over their head, wife found out how much they spent, decided it wasn't their "thing" etc...  Also keep on the lookout for 'Demo" kayaks from local shops.

You can also go the Jackson seat option on an older model Hobie Outback.  The Jackson seat is similar to the new Hobis seat.  I lucked out and got a like new 2015 Outback, but it would be difficult to find one for sale.
