I make rods as a hobby, usually just for me or friends. I got these two blanks with the intention of keeping them for myself. The fact is I don't actually need any more, the first step is admitting when you have a problem hahaha. They would both make excellent multipurpose rods for ling cod or halibut, you could certainly use them for rock cod but they would be a little heavy in my opinion. They are both 14" from the butt to the bottom of the reel seat and have Fuji guides. I live in Santa Cruz and would prefer to sell them to somebody within driving distance, I would be happy to drive a half our or so to meet somebody seriously interested.

The green rod is spiral wrapped, the guides transition from the top to the bottom where they naturally want to be. I love spiral wrapped rods and am confident anybody who tries it will love them too. The blue rod is a knife jigging blank and defiantly has a little more of a moderate action compared to the green one.

Feel free to ask me any questions!

Asking for $150 per rod

Those are some sexy rods. I need more reels than I do rods though right now... unfortunately.  :smt005 I just wanted to compliment how good those look.
Thresher in avatar and Soupfin Shark in signature both caught and pic taken by me.

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment! I really like the way they tuned out, was hoping they would sell fairly quickly. I feel like $150 is a pretty good deal for either rod, not a whole lot of profit on my end. Although I do understand why people would be hesitant to buy a custom rod from somebody they have never heard of. I definitely stand behind the work and would be happy to do any repairs for free should something go wrong.
