Hi Albert.

Here is the charger info for the Humminbird VH5:

Class 2 transformer
Input: 120V 60Hz 6W
Output: DC 18V 100mA

Take the unit to Radio Shack and they should be able to help.

Jonathan, thanks for the info..  I came up with an idea after talking with you.  I connected my FF battery charger (I found that they have the same voltage and amperage) to the 2 contact points on the battery and charged it over night,  and it works!   Thanks also for your phone call.  Looking forward to fish with you again.
