3LBS is more than enough.

Doubt I would ever go with anything above 4# myself

I'm in the market for an 8-lb torpedo style weight. I've run a 6-lb finned ball from my Hobie with no issues up to about 125 feet. Curious to compare an 8-lb torpedo and see if I can drag the mud out at Moss when the fish are deep (125-200').

Guess it's time to fab some Tungsten DR weights

Maybe they don't have the CA Prop 65 Warning to be able to ship within CA

Its the exact 12 ponder as shown in the link.  I didn't even notice the no Cali rule, but they sent it to me.  Anyway if you want it its still here.
