Westport Beach campground

This week before Albion I took the family to Westport beach campground.  The water was flat my first day out and I caught a Ling and some greenling in not much time its a surf launch and with some wheelez not a far haul from camp. The kids loved the beach and my wife loved the full hookups. The second day I waited till afternoon to fish and the surf was up a bit and got rolled trying to get out my second attempt was a huge success and with the sun shining plenty of people were watching and i think i even heard a cheer. I caught another ling right away and a black rock fish till the fog came in real fast and I figured it was time to head in but i got a few. The camp host are super nice and the camp store is stocked with beer for me and icecream for the kids. The fish cleaning station is new and nice the camp workers even launched a campers zodiac with their sidebyside they limited out on abs in no time. Also you can tent camp on the beach and be on your yak in no time. I really enjoyed my time at Westport if the families happy I'm happy fishing

Glad you had a good trip.  I have been getting more practice on surf launches.  Still not willing to do some I have seen others try.
